Science Fiction & Fantasy First Chapter Contest
January 1 – February 28, 2022

We’re looking for dynamic and thrilling First Chapters to your novels! This opportunity awards $3000 to the winning author, as well as publication in Uncharted Magazine. The guest judge is CeCe Lyra of P.S. Literary Agency and co-host of the podcast, The Sh*t No One Tells You About Writing.

Thriller & Horror // Mystery & Crime First Chapters Contest
March 1 – May 1, 2022

We’re looking for dynamic and thrilling First Chapters to your novels (again)! This opportunity awards $1000 to the winning author from each genre (Thriller & Horror // Mystery & Crime), as well as publication in Uncharted Magazine. Our guest judge is tbd, and our editorial team will also choose Honorable Mentions to award publication and $300.

We’re launching an all digital, asynchronous space to help writers get their books into shape. This workshopping opportunity will include specific and actionable feedback from a team of professional editors, as well as a unique and rigorous MFA-style learning experience for self-driven authors.

Uncharted Short Story Award
May 1 – July 31, 2022

This Award is for all three genres: SF/F, Thriller/Horror, and Mystery/Crime. $1000 will be awarded to three different authors, each for a particular genre of story. We’re looking for the best short fiction we can get our hands on! The editorial team will also select honorable mentions to receive $300 each and publication. Guest judge tbd.
