Voyage YA by Uncharted is pleased to announce our newest contest, the YA OPEN, judged by Voyage editors. Send us your wildest, most electric YA prose. We want to see drama, enigma, and tension. Your prose should glimmer with energy, with passion in every sentence. Make our heads turn. Write something that it is impossible for us to ignore. Show us what you needed to read when you were a teen. First place will win $1,000, second and third place will win $600 and $400, respectively. All three winners will be published on our website.
Horror Challenge
October 03 – October 16, 2024
It’s time for our horror writers to send us something that has us reaching for the light switch, making our hearts race, and scaring us so much that we see the world in a new and creepy way. For this challenge, we’re pleased to offer the grand-prize winner $500 and publication. All entries will be considered for general publication at our regular rate of $200.
Uncharted Magazine Novel Excerpt Prize
October 17 – December 15, 2024
Each year, novel excerpt submissions are some of our readers’ and editors’ favorite narratives to read. We’re looking for the best 5,000 words or fewer of your novel in progress! We love to read opening chapters, climaxes, and anything in-between. The three co-winners of this prize will each receive $1,000 and publication. All entries will be considered for publication.
