Wes Blalock is a retired police officer and recipient of both Valor and Lifesaving awards. His work has appeared in Close2theBone, Kings River Life, Over My Dead Body, Bewildering Stories, Fiction on the Web, CC&D Magazine, Kzine, and the slush piles of several very prominent literary journals. Wes has received awards from the annual Writers Digest Genre Fiction Contest (2019), the Bewildering Stories’ Mariner’s Award, the B. Dalton Bookseller Golden Plume Award, as well as an honorable mention from the Beverly Kyle Novel Excerpt competition. Two of these awards were for stories in the Ranger Birdie McLaren thriller series.
