There’s a tingling chill in the air that can only mean one thing: fall is upon us and so are these five upcoming October releases. Wrap yourselves in sweaters and blankets and reach on over for these books.

  1. Zodiac Legacy by Katie Zhao – October 7, 2025

Meet the Descendants of the Zodiac in a world where magic intertwines with dark academia at a boarding school in Manhattan. The much anticipated sequel to Zodiac Rising, Zodiac Legacy follows Evangeline Long and her chaotic supernatural crew as they’re on the run — determined to restore themselves to their former glory.

  1. The Leaving Room by Amber McBride – October 14, 2025

Welcome to The Leaving Room, the place where all young people phase through when they die. Gospel is a Keeper of a Leaving Room, meaning she helps new souls get ready to leave because they never are. One day, Gospel meets Melody, another Keeper, and their souls entangle as they fall in love. Do you believe in love after life?

  1. The Trespassers by Jennifer Lynn Alvarez – October 28, 2025

Four childhood friends. One night they’ll never forget. It’s a snowy Valentine’s Day and Mya invites Finley, River, and Eli to her house party to reminisce and heal old wounds… until they encounter a stranger and suddenly, there are simply too many new wounds to count.

  1. Hazelthorn by C.G. Drews – October 28, 2025

Evander lives at the Hazelthorn estate with his reclusive billionaire guardian, Byron Lennox-Hall. There, he’s bound to three rules: he can’t ever leave the estate; he can’t ever go to the gardens; and he can’t ever be left alone with Byron’s grandson, Laurie, who casually tried to kill Evander seven years ago.

When Byron dies mysteriously, Evander inherits the entire Hazelthorn mansion and the Lennox-Hall fortune, but he will soon realize the many vines and thorns attached…

  1. The Library of Lost Girls by Kristen Pipps – October 28, 2025

Gwen’s older sister, Izzy, is rebellious and Gwen loves her for it. When Izzy returns from the Delphi School for Girls, however, she’s turned into a completely different person: dull, complacent, and most troubling of all, eager to marry.

Gwen knows the Izzy who returned isn’t her sister and the only way to figure out exactly what happened is to sneak her way into the Delphi School itself to observe what nefarious rituals or “reformations” are at play and save her sister — and all the other girls — before it’s too late.
